What is Claude Counter?
Claude Counter is a beautifully designed iOS app that helps you track important dates, milestones, and habits using countdown and countup timers. Whether you're counting down to a vacation or counting up days since quitting smoking, Claude Counter makes it easy and beautiful.
How much does Claude Counter cost?
Claude Counter is free to download with basic features. Premium features may be available through in-app purchase. Check the App Store for current pricing details.
What devices are supported?
Claude Counter works on:
- iPhone running iOS 16.0 or later
- iPad running iPadOS 16.0 or later
The app is optimized for all screen sizes and orientations.
Using Counters
How do I create a new counter?
To create a new counter:
- Tap the "+" button on the main screen
- Enter a name for your counter
- Select your target date
- Choose countdown (future date) or countup (past date)
- Customize display options (optional)
- Tap "Save"
Can I edit an existing counter?
Yes! Tap on any counter to view its details, then tap "Edit" to modify the name, date, or display options.
How do I delete a counter?
There are two ways to delete a counter:
- Swipe left on the counter in the list and tap "Delete"
- Open the counter, tap "Edit", then tap "Delete Counter" at the bottom
Can I change how time is displayed?
Yes! You can display your counter in:
- Days
- Weeks
- Months
- Years
- Or a combination (e.g., "1 year, 2 months, 5 days")
Edit your counter and select your preferred display format under "Display Options".
Widgets
How do I add a Lock Screen widget?
To add a Claude Counter widget to your Lock Screen:
- Long press on your Lock Screen
- Tap "Customize"
- Tap on the widget area below the time
- Find and select "Claude Counter"
- Choose which counter to display
- Tap "Done"

Why isn't my widget updating?
If your widget isn't updating, try these steps:
- Make sure the counter still exists in the app
- Remove and re-add the widget
- Restart your iPhone
- Make sure you're running the latest version of iOS and the app
Widgets typically update every few minutes, but may take longer if Low Power Mode is enabled.
Can I add multiple widgets?
Yes! You can add as many Claude Counter widgets as your Lock Screen allows. Each widget can display a different counter.
iCloud Sync
How does iCloud sync work?
If iCloud sync is enabled, your counters automatically sync across all your Apple devices signed in with the same Apple ID. Changes made on one device appear on all your other devices.
How do I enable iCloud sync?
iCloud sync is enabled by default if you're signed in to iCloud on your device. To check:
- Go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud
- Make sure iCloud Drive is turned on
- Scroll down and make sure Claude Counter is toggled on
Why aren't my counters syncing?
If sync isn't working:
- Make sure you're signed in to the same iCloud account on all devices
- Check that you have an internet connection
- Verify iCloud Drive is enabled for Claude Counter
- Make sure you have available iCloud storage
- Try signing out and back in to iCloud
Notifications
Can I get notified when a counter reaches zero?
Yes! When editing a counter, enable "Notify Me" and choose when you want to be notified (on the day, day before, week before, etc.).
I'm not receiving notifications. Why?
Make sure notifications are enabled:
- Go to iOS Settings > Notifications > Claude Counter
- Make sure "Allow Notifications" is turned on
- Choose your preferred alert style
- Check that "Notify Me" is enabled for the specific counter in the app
Privacy & Data
Is my data private?
Yes! All your counter data is stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, data is stored in your personal iCloud account, encrypted and accessible only to you. We never see or have access to your data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I backup my counters?
Your counters are automatically backed up in two ways:
- iCloud Backup (if enabled in iOS Settings)
- iCloud Sync (if enabled for the app)
If you restore your device or get a new device, your counters will be restored automatically.
Troubleshooting
The app isn't working correctly. What should I do?
Try these troubleshooting steps:
- Make sure you're running the latest version of the app
- Make sure your iOS is up to date
- Force quit the app and reopen it
- Restart your device
- If the problem persists, contact support
