At Solo Software, your privacy is our top priority. This Privacy Policy explains how ToDo Stacker handles your information and your rights regarding your data.

Overview

ToDo Stacker is designed with privacy at its core. We believe your tasks are your business, not ours. That's why:

  • There is no account and no sign-in. You never give us a name, email address, or any other personal detail.
  • We don't track you. No analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDKs, no behavioural monitoring.
  • We don't sell or share your data. There's nothing to sell because we never receive anything.
  • Your tasks stay with you. Everything lives on your device and, if you choose, in your own private iCloud database.

Information We Collect

None. ToDo Stacker does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following to Solo Software:

  • Personal information (name, email, phone number, address)
  • Your tasks, stacks, timers, or alarms
  • Location data
  • Usage analytics
  • Device identifiers
  • Crash reports (unless you explicitly choose to share them with Apple)
  • Any other personally identifiable information

Data Storage & iCloud Sync

Your tasks, stacks, and settings are stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData. To keep your tasks in sync across your devices, ToDo Stacker uses CloudKit to store a copy in your own private iCloud database. This means:

  • Your data syncs through your personal Apple Account, protected by Apple's iCloud security.
  • Solo Software has no access to your iCloud data — we cannot see, read, or retrieve it.
  • You can turn off iCloud sync for ToDo Stacker at any time in iOS Settings.
  • Deleting the app and its iCloud data removes everything — there is nothing held anywhere else.

Optional Device Permissions

ToDo Stacker can connect your tasks to other apps on your device. Each permission is optional, requested only when you first use the related feature, and the app remains fully functional if you decline:

  • Calendar: Lets you link calendar events to a task strip.
  • Contacts: Lets you link contacts to a task strip.
  • Reminders: Lets you link reminders to a strip and import Reminders lists as Stacks with one tap.

Anything the app accesses through these permissions stays on your device or in your own private iCloud. Nothing is ever transmitted to Solo Software.

Notifications & Live Activities

ToDo Stacker can ask for permission to send notifications so timers and alarms can alert you. This is optional — you can decline or change it at any time in iOS Settings. Live Activities show your timer's state on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. All of this happens entirely on your device; no notification or timer data leaves it.

Purchases

Purchases in ToDo Stacker are processed by Apple through the App Store. Solo Software never sees your payment details. The only purchase information the app holds is your subscription status, provided by Apple's StoreKit, so the app knows which features to unlock.

Children's Privacy

ToDo Stacker does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. ToDo Stacker is safe for users of all ages because we don't collect any personal information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Significant changes will be communicated through:

  • An update to the app description on the App Store
  • This website
