Effective Date: December 1, 2025
Last Updated: December 1, 2025
At Solo Software, your privacy is our top priority. This Privacy Policy explains how Calendar Counter handles your information and your rights regarding your data.
Overview
Calendar Counter is designed with privacy at its core. We believe your personal data should stay personal. That's why:
- We don't collect your data. We don't gather, store, or transmit any personal information from Calendar Counter.
- We don't track you. No analytics, no tracking cookies, no behavioral monitoring.
- We don't sell your data. There's nothing to sell because we don't collect anything.
- Your data stays on your device. All event and date data is stored locally on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
What We Don't Collect
Calendar Counter does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
- Personal information (name, email, phone number, address)
- Location data
- Usage analytics
- Device identifiers
- Browsing history
- Crash reports (unless you explicitly choose to share them with Apple)
- Any other personally identifiable information
How Calendar Counter Works
Calendar Counter handles all date calculations offline:
- Local Data: All events, dates, and calculations are stored locally on your device.
- Calendar Access: The app needs to read calendar events to help you track dates. This data is never transmitted or stored outside your device.
- Complete Privacy: Your important dates and milestones remain completely private.
iCloud Sync
Calendar Counter offers optional iCloud sync to keep your data synchronized across your Apple devices. When you enable iCloud sync:
- Your app data is encrypted and stored in your personal iCloud account
- We have no access to your iCloud data
- Apple's iCloud Privacy Policy applies to this data
- You can disable iCloud sync at any time in the app settings
For more information about iCloud security and privacy, please visit Apple's iCloud Security Overview.
App Permissions
Calendar Counter may request the following permissions. These permissions are used solely for app functionality and never for data collection:
- Calendar Access: To help you select dates from your calendar. This is optional and can be denied without affecting core functionality.
- Notifications: To send you reminders for your important dates. All notifications are generated locally on your device.
Third-Party Services
Calendar Counter does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks. The only external service used is Apple's iCloud (if you choose to enable sync), which is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Children's Privacy
Calendar Counter does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. Calendar Counter is safe for users of all ages because we don't collect any personal information.
Data Security
Since all app data is stored locally on your device or in your personal iCloud account:
- Your device's built-in security features protect your data
- We recommend enabling device passcode/Face ID/Touch ID
- Regular iOS updates help keep your data secure
- iCloud data is encrypted both in transit and at rest
Your Rights
Because we don't collect your data, there's nothing for us to access, export, modify, or delete. You have complete control:
- Access: All your app data is accessible within the app
- Export: You can export your data from within the app (where applicable)
- Delete: You can delete all app data by deleting the app or clearing data in app settings
- Portability: Your data is stored in standard formats on your device
International Users
Calendar Counter works worldwide. Since all data is stored locally on your device or in your personal iCloud account, there are no international data transfers to worry about.
